Powering Sustainable Aviation with Innovation

Avina’s SAF project is transforming aviation for a greener tomorrow.

SAF (Alcohol-to-Jet)
Fueling the Future of Sustainable Aviation

At Avina, we are utilizing state-of-the-art PureSAF SM technology, developed by Swedish Biofuels and licensed by KBR, to drive the production of sustainable aviation fuel. Each of our facilities is designed to produce up to 120 million gallons per year of Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), contributing to the decarbonization of the aviation industry while ensuring high efficiency and reliability in fuel production.

Facility Facts:

65% lower carbon intensity achieved compared to conventional jet fuel
17 million tons of CO₂ emissions avoided over each project's lifetime.
2.3 kg CO₂ avoided per kg of aviation fuel
Up to 120 million gallons of SAF production per year per project
~250 million gallons per year per project of ethanol processing capacity
